Finding Loan Sharks on the Dark Web

May 11, 2021 by Brian Allen

Some people are in a position where they need some financial assistance but don’t have a lot of options. This can lead them to consider finding a loan shark to get them the funds that they need without as many strings attached or requirements. Thanks to popular culture and general misinformation, a lot of people assume that these lenders are just out there waiting to lend anyone money for the right price.

That’s partially true, but not the entire story.

It might sound like a great idea to find black market loan sharks or look for legal ways to get money outside of traditional lending—but that’s just it. It sounds good, but it rarely turns out well. For starters, even if you find a totally legal operation, it’s probably still predatory lending in nature and going to have much higher interest rates and fees because you’re not a “traditional borrower”. Some of these loans are exponentially more expensive just because they can be.

What is the Dark Web?

The dark web is a place where black market activity and illegal things happen online. It’s a part of the Internet that is set up by hackers, loan sharks, and other unscrupulous parties who are trying to find a way to get away with their illegal activities. There are plenty of people searching the regular Internet asking things like:

  • “Are there actual loan sharks on the dark web?”
  • “Can you get a loan shark on the dark web?”
  • “Do loan sharks on the dark web really exist?”
  • “Can I find a dark web loan shark for real?”
  • “How do I get in contact with a loan shark?”

The dark web is a collection of encrypted websites that aren’t indexed by search engines and that require special software to access. That’s right—you can’t just open a browser and log onto the dark web. You have to have the right browser and know where to go. Even then, you’re limited to what you can find unless you know people who can connect you or show you the way.

How Can I Get Money Fast?

Ok, so if not dark web loan sharks, then what can you do when you need money and you’re in a bind? There are several lenders out there that aren’t nearly as predatory as loan sharks and they will be a good place to begin. Take the time to explore all of the options and understand that you may not be able to get money the same day in every situation. Some people can find this quick cash while others may have to wait up to a week or more for a loan to come through.

The best thing that you can do is to get your finances under control and get yourself on a good budget. That will include being able to save for emergencies and then when something happens, you won’t find yourself in this position. The worst thing that you can do is to seek out a loan shark or get caught up in a predatory lending cycle because that’s just going to add more stress and take more of your hard-earned money.

When you are considering loan sharks, you’ll want to reconsider if you can because there are usually better options. There’s a reason that they hide on the dark web, after all. It can be hard to see the options when you feel like you’re backed into a corner, but there’s never a reason to settle for a loan that you can’t really afford.

I am trying to get a loan for $10,000 to get my fiancée out of Ukraine. He is Sgt. John Tagine and he’s trying to get home as his 7 year Old twins need him home. He is on contract with the United Nations and his certificate to get home is 17500.00. We have raised 7500.00. My credit is awful. He will pay the loan off as soon as he gets home. We are so upset and just want him home safe. You are literally our last straw. We hope you can help. Thank you
